As a vegan I have tried all types of belts but many of them are not durable and regular woven belts tend to slip through the buckle. Traditional buckle and holes to keep it where you set it. It's also very durable. After seven months of almost daily wear, the only sign of age is the thin silver finish on the buckle, where it has worn to reveal the brass underneath. But at this price it far exceeded my expectations which is why it's five stars!
