I've seen too many bad reviews on this product for speed, draw speed and difficult to set the right speed, seen. Let me tell you that I have the same problem but I found the problem and I feel stupid after figuring out what the problem is, when the door is left open 90 degrees the LP rubs against the door and it's really difficult to get the right speed. As I left the door fully open, the gap between the record and the door is clean and the sound is just perfect and easy to tune, I sent this unit to my father in Colombia and he is very happy to hook the sound up to an amp and dance the night away to the tunes of an old record collection my dad kept all these years. I will buy another one so my friends can enjoy the sound of old music.
