The SHONSIN Absolute Scale Digital Caliper has an easy to read LCD display and is as accurate as my famous $300+ digital calipers. It turns on automatically when the jaws are moved and either turns off automatically or can be turned off manually. When I remove the caliper, I leave the jaws slightly open and then turn the set screw so a hit to the housing doesn't turn it on and drain the battery. Incidentally, the battery is a completely normal one.
