Bought this backpack in February 2017 for my son's 6th birthday. Lots of extras and fans of it. A year later, it's still running with very minor losses. Drive the bus after school and drive through the floors of the gym, classroom, house and playground! Holds a lot of stuff! (Current - winter pants, shoes, binders/books, a water bottle, a great little bag for glasses and snacks, and a spare piece of clothing in a zipped pocket!) It can be quite heavy so I was very happy with the padded shoulder straps and back. Easy to wash too, definitely a plus! Simply throw in the washing machine on the gentle cycle and then air dry. *Only gripe* - The side water bottle pocket could be a bit wider to accommodate rubber insulated bottles. As long as the water bottle has a smooth surface, it is easy to put in and take out.
