Just to share my experience: my club car had a symptom of acceleration when pressing the pedal but then a sharp deceleration to a very slow speed (sluggish mode as it is called). I did some research and one person suggested starting the car a few feet, then getting out (leaving all the switches where they were when you started it) and pushing it by hand. If the club car starts beeping (rollback warning), the speed sensor is OK. If not, then that's bad. Mine didn't beep so I ordered this sensor. The exchange was very easy. Now it works fine.
