The speed is not impressive. It's listed as USB 3.0, but don't expect to use that. The listing doesn't make any speed claims, so maybe it has a 3.0 connection and something else is causing the slower transfer speeds I've seen, so this may not be a false claim. USB 3.0 doesn't necessarily mean you'll get as high speeds as the connection allows if the device can't use it. This one doesn't even come close. I tested it with a new Pony micro SD card, which isn't really high quality or lightning fast, but it didn't matter. The transmission speed was about half that of the card. Burning a 3.65GB MKV file took about 4 minutes, but it took about half that time with another adapter that I found reliable and fast. In fact, it worked only slightly better than the old Dell USB 2.0 Micro SD adapter I tried. Shortly after I received it, the lid came off when I was pulling it out of the port. (see picture) It didn't get stuck and I used normal force. Poorly. I like the adapter's swiveling design with 3 different connection types, but due to the slow data rate and poor design, I can only give it 2 stars.
