Sisal rope appears to be of high quality. Has a sense of hard work. I bought this to replace the rope on my cat scratching post. The cat tears them up and I replace them with sisal rope. Time to replace it yourself, then you mostly go out and buy new cat claws. This type of material also helps them avoid scratching furniture or damaging fabric or leather. They love the feel and smell of sisal material. I've tried others like jute, but sisal seems to be a cat's favorite. My cats don't scratch my furniture because of the sisal. for crafts and need this type of rope because it is soft and not scratchy.
