Review on ๐ŸŽฎ ROG Strix Z590-I Gaming WiFi 6E LGA 1200: Mini-ITX Gaming Motherboard with Thunderbolt 4, PCIe 4.0, and 2X M.2 Slots by Josh Reynolds

Noisy capacitor and MOSFET components

Ideal board to support Thunderbolt 4 and Gen4 NVMe devices. It takes a lot of cooling to take advantage of "K" processors. The TPM fan is only controlled by the BIOS, and the capacitors and MOSFET make an audible scratching noise in sync with high CPU load (it sounds like a spinning hard drive looking for a track). That said, it's basically the best you can get in an ITX form factor for Rocket Lake processors given current offerings from all vendors.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • boring packaging
