This is my second portable solar charger. I had such good experiences with another brand that I decided to try this BigBlue. - APPLICATION - It's easy to use: Just lay out in a sunny spot, make sure all four panels get direct sunlight, connect one or two USB charging cables to it and you can charge your devices outside. There's a meter that tells you how much power it's getting, and the higher the number, the better the charge. - WHERE TO USE - You can hang this charger on your backpack to charge your devices while hiking; can be hung from trees like a hammock; or you can just put it on the floor. As long as all four panels are in direct sunlight, you'll get a good charge. — WHAT TO CONSIDER — I see this charger as more of a backup than a standalone charger. Nice to have, but performance depends on the sun. This is definitely a great tool if you need renewable energy. Because your device is also exposed to direct sunlight and hot weather, there's a pocket to hide it in. I also suggest covering this area with an extra layer to keep it cool. - SUMMARY - If you're going to be traveling somewhere far away, it's probably best to have a portable battery pack and this solar charger.
