After 2 hours of driving it breaks off. Not sure

I only ordered 5 pieces and it felt like I had to put on a new one every day because after about 2 hours of driving with my kids it broke in half and it made them couldn't do it anymore and it was scary my daughter. So I don't know why they break so easily. It's actually quite dangerous, especially if your kids ride bikes, which can happen.
