The pencils bend easily and fit into the hearts comfortably. I had no problem fitting the hearts together once I figured out which ones were tops and bottoms.My issue is that the gift tags are unusable. They are cute but the wording is not acceptable. They say:I love you so much! (a bit overly emotional for elementary school)I am your (I am your what?)You are Mine (excessively possessive and slightly creepy for small children)Always and Forever (somehow also just not right)All in all. A cute gift, but make your own tags or cover the wording with small valentines themed stickers.
