The petals smell badly. I separated and put them in a open box. I left the box outside for 3 days and from time to time I moved them in the box. Then I decided to wash a few to see if it works. And it did. And I decided to wash them all. Warm water and laundry soap in a bucket, and let them dry extended on the countertop. The smell went off like 85%. Then I put them in a paper bag for a week in the garage and on the big day, the smell went completely off. The color was ivory and after I washed them the color stayed. I don’t know if the color is going to be safe with other colors.
