I use the product as directed: Cool tap water. The filters were easy to install. The water tastes very good but the main benefit is that it lowers the acidity so I don't have heartburn and get all the other benefits of high pH water. 200 gallons between filter changes is the best I've seen on the market. I mark each 1/2 gallon fill on the top of the pitcher "Blue Box". I mark them on my calendar and then add them at the end of the month until 400 - 1/2 gallons are filled. I tried another PH water filter and it didn't do the job as well as this one. 2 filters are hard to beat for PH quality water. And it was more expensive with unavailable filters! Coffee lovers should also drink PH water. This is necessary to counteract the acidity from the coffee. I don't drink coffee better, but I need my 2 cups in the morning. Because I drink high pH water, I don't get acid reflux from coffee and other foods during the day.
