They replaced my Magnify 2. When running in Magnify 2, the overall feel is the same. I really like the new upper, although I think the Magnifly 2 is more comfortable. For everyone who doesn't know. This is a direct competitor to the Escalante 2 and in my opinion they succeed. No sloppy feeling under acceleration, this shoe really locks down the midfoot and heel and allows the toes to splay. I have a wide foot so if you have narrow feet this may not be the case. Definitely not plush shoes. I mainly use it for tempo runs or interval training.
