This top is great for any water sport where you need sun protection. Swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, etc. I've worn it several times for 2+ hours kayaking in the hot Florida sun and haven't had any sunburn/rash/redness on my skin. It covers very high around the neck but doesn't feel tight or irritating at all. Very comfortable to wear all day. I love that it covers the tops of your hands with a thumb hole to avoid sunburn. All I have to do is put sunscreen on my slightly open neck and a little on my fingers and then I can enjoy the day.
