Review on OXO Grips 12 Inch Locking Tongs by John Reese

I cook a lot and love using tools that get the job done without breaking or falling apart while cooking. That's why I trust OXO products, they are well made and have proven themselves. These tongs are another great product with added features that make cooking easier. I've had these for 8 years and they work just as well when I bought them. The silicone handles hold the pot firmly even if they get wet from the steam escaping from the pot. The ends are coated with silicone so they won't scratch pans and are heat resistant. They are 12 inches long so I can use them to reach a hot oven and move food around in a casserole dish without burning myself. And I love the button on the end that keeps the pliers closed so they don't open and close. The food is splattered everywhere. When my hands are full, I push or pull the silicone coated button with my teeth or against my chin - a bad idea I know, but sometimes it takes 3 hands to cook! What I really need is my personal chef. Does Revain offer them?
