Mine wasn't moving enough or I didn't feel it. Tip number 2: you will turn this thing with a ratchet, and even in this case you will have doubts that it has come loose and the steering wheel is shrinking. So make sure you don't drop your bike when unbuckling the strap on one side. I would start on the opposite side of the truck, in this case it's leaning toward the car.
