In the past I have customized many Barbie dolls for my daughters and as gifts for others (I have enjoyed using the doll on to customize her appearance like someone I knew!) I'd really like to have a really good poseable doll to work with. I had to cook and recreate body parts to be able to put the puppets in a non-erect position with straight or unnaturally curved arms. found an almost perfectly articulated Barbie. Barbie is built to move and has points of movement in many places, there is only one I could wish for (her waist) but even without that she is a fantastic doll to play with and personalise. Barbie hair at first but now bought some more. My plan is to have one each for my granddaughter to play with and then match the body tones with the other dolls so I can switch their heads on the posable body. Then I can have fun customizing the dolls. So far I like the redhead girl the most. My husband actually ran off with her so he could pose with her in his 1990's English action film (much like a James Bond character). Every day I find Barbie and Action Man in different poses, so obviously he's having fun with her too. Their points of articulation are at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, torso (not the waist, unfortunately), hips, knees, and ankles. She has red hair and a few freckles on a beautiful face with a closed mouth. She has brown eyes, light pink lips and no nail polish. The doll wears a stretchy teal top, black yoga pants and no shoes. The clothes suit her well. My only concern is whether Mattel will make clothes or shoes to fit her (she has flat feet but they are too small to fit other flat foot barbie shoes). If not, I can make clothes and my husband can use our 3D printer to make their shoes. I'm really worried about the kids who want to dress up with her. I sincerely hope that Mattel will take the call and create the right clothes and accessories for this wonderful doll. I also hope that they will use this body type on many more dolls in the future. This is a fantastic doll with many possibilities. You can see how much fun we have with this doll as soon as my photos appear. She does yoga all the time and, as I said, loves to pose with Action Man.
