Review on 💡 Progress Lighting P4401-29 Opal Cased Globes: Evenly Diffused Illumination with White Cord, Canopy, and Cap by Ana Lewis

Contrary to what others have experienced, I received this item with all the necessary parts and the whole globe. Although I can see how it can break pretty easily - it's almost like paper! I also noticed some small imperfections in the glass but not worth the hassle of replacing. The installation guide was simple and clear. The cable is twisted for shipping and may not straighten out. Don't despair. Leave it in front of the heat tunnel for about a day to soften it, then straighten it up nicely! The cable is 48 inches long but can be cut to any length. Because I hung this in the hallway of only 8 feet. Blanket, I wanted very little cord. The only way to fix the length of the cord is to tie a knot over the nipple. Given the age of the house and the electrical boxes the builder used almost 70 years ago this was a minor issue - it was cramped in there! But with a little rearranging of the wires I was able to do it. In the end it looks very nice and I'm glad I did it. Glass defects are only visible if you look for them and are unlikely to be noticed by anyone. However compared to another Progress Lighting light I bought for the bathroom (good thick glass) I can't give this light the full five stars. You could really at least make the glass ball a little thicker. Buy it, but treat it with great care.
