I am a 76 year old elderly woman with nerve damage in my right hand and arm. Therefore, I find it very difficult to remove the lids from jars with a new product. I live alone so I have to open the banks myself. The previous house had a similar vise, but I couldn't get it out from under the closet to take it to the new house. It was great opening lids so tight that it was impossible to open them with your hands. So I bought this vise. It's totally useless. I've been using it for about 6 months and have never managed to open the lid of the jar with it. Instead, the metal parts are cut into lids and chewed! Don't waste your money on this truck. Now it's taped to the bottom of the closet so I can't even return it for a refund. It's rubbish and not even worth it if it was FREE.
