My daughter plays basketball. And if you're a parent of a girl who plays basketball, your eyes have been opened to the lack of girls' sportswear on the market. Women's high-top basketball shoes and women's basketball shorts are virtually non-existent. So I end up buying boys red and gray basketball gear to make ends meet or she practices in a yoga uniform, which is a real shame. I was looking for longer shorts that she could wear over her basketball yoga shorts. I'm also willing to buy (back) a company that makes sportswear for boys and girls. Kid Nation touts, "Gender neutral children's clothing that fits everyone. " These shorts fit my daughter somewhere between boys and girls shorts. They're tighter than the typical little boy, but not tight for yoga. Side seam pockets, flapless (real or faux) and back pockets add to the gender-neutral look. The downside is that the color combinations tend towards boys. The kit I received was grey/orange camo. The gray suits my daughter but the orange camo doesn't. I would like to combine grey-red, black/navy etc. Otherwise, it is medium-heavy, simple, easy-care children's clothing. They wash well and are true to size.
