Let me get the cons out of the way first. On some rides with increased humidity, high dew point and increased heat index, the visor fogged up a bit. And if you go through real fog, it can get a little foggy. A little annoying. I received the Frog Spit Defog today to try and fix this issue. On the peak high temperature days, there are several warm patches of full sun to the left and right of the canopy. During the ride, I noticed that when I look over my shoulder, the air is good at these places. There is no helmet carry bag. I had to buy one. Aside from the things listed above, this helmet is amazing! MEASUREMENT: My wife has measured my head at various times, both with a balaclava and with a bandage on my head. The decision on the environment and the helmet sizes recommended by Giro appear to be accurate. I was concerned about too much light coming from the bottom of the visor, but my eyes rarely notice it, and the center visor sits nicely on the bridge of the nose. It's pretty dark and clear there too. I bought a second clear visor for autumn/winter tours and also for night riding. COMFORT: The tensioning mechanism at the top of the helmet tightens the entire head at once, providing an even feel around the head. It's also easy to set up while driving. I've been riding for a while so it's easy, especially when I get into the drop and make small adjustments to maximize aerodynamics. CHIN STRAP: Easy to adjust and close-fitting to the face. I also use cat ears and they work great too. AIRFLOW: I can feel the air cooling my head and neck. It's a bit noisy, but cat ears help some. VISOR: cool look. Vented for airflow on my face. Installs upside down easily and securely when removed and the magnets are well attached. You can hear it click into place, especially when you put it on. STORAGE/TRANSPORT: Giro was contacted to see if a case or visor was available and they recommended a helmet bag. So I bought a cat whisperer and it works great with this helmet. What else can I say? It's easy to put on and take off during breaks. I spent hours shopping, comparing helmets, measuring crazy, and ended up with the average matte black Vanquish. Great helmet! I'm glad I bought it.
