I didn't know you could just buy these filters - saves me a lot of money compared to ready made pot sets and I can use freshly roasted and ground beans, not old coffee , which has been stored for maybe a year. I've been using similar loose leaf tea filter bags for about a decade, so I don't know why I didn't think to look for coffee bags. Coffee with milk in a cup equals Venti / 20 oz. I simply fill about half a cup of coffee using my gooseneck kettle and this filter (filled with ground coffee) and then use a steamer to make a batch of frothed milk to fill the other half of the cup. Tastes way better than Charbucks. So far I haven't had any problems with the sediment from the filter. All of these types of filters hold best on a cup with thinner rims, you may have trouble holding them on a cup with a really wide mouth and thick width (e.g. heavy ceramic). You don't have to hold on to the sides of a paper cup when pouring it, it holds up well.
