Review on Organize Your Kitchen With FINDKING'S Ash Wood Magnetic Knife Strip - 16 Inch Deep Grey Wooden Rack For Knives And Utensils (No Drilling Required) by Paul Dye

Needs a stronger magnet

This is an attractive piece of wood, although the stain on mine wasn’t applied evenly (see photo). I would have preferred a lighter stain anyway. It installs easily with either tape or screws. I used screws. The instructions and the drilling template both show the hole locations upside down! (When installed, the screw head goes into the wide circle and then the knife holder slides down so that it’s secured.)I like that the magnet is under the wood surface. This looks good and protects knife edges from direct contact with metal. It’s also good that the magnet extends the full length of the holder. There’s a lot of flexibility to put knives as close or far apart as you want. However, the magnet needs to be stronger to hold some knives. See the video of a knife sliding off the holder. Last photo shows this knife on a scale, showing 26 oz (this knife can be held by a different rack that has exposed magnets). It was able to hold all my other knives.

Pros
  • The magnetic strip is strong enough to hold even heavy kitchen knives securely in place
Cons
  • The wooden rack may be too large or bulky for some kitchen areas
