I bought this specifically for live backup of legal HDMI recording from my camcorder. I did, but only on a 32GB flash drive. They claimed it could use up to 2TB drives. This should definitely not happen. That is not true. I formatted them in full frame mode in all respects, nothing works. If he really did what they claim, that would be great. I've had no luck with thumbs larger than 32GB. I think this company should explain to their customers why they claim these features when they clearly don't work. Please reply if you have any real ideas to make this work. And yes, my settings are correct etc. But they don't indicate anywhere what questions prevent these errors. One note: recordings appear as a complete file on the ITB-SSD and then disappear after an error message when you connect them to a computer. I can't explain it either. Your support people just told me. try a small flash drive. This is the complete opposite of what they claim he can do. Also, all metadata is erased from the videos and you can't pull out the date and time code data, they all read 1970 00:00 but maybe it's HDMI but I don't know for sure. it incorrectly encodes them either in the pass-through or in the actual camcorder footage.
