Review on 🏑 Melissa and Doug Fabric Storage Cottage by Patrick Locke

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Colorful, durable and fun!

This is a delightful little tent for children from 2 to 6 years old. I'm so glad Melissa and Doug replaced their previous cardboard house with this updated version that is durable, takes up little space and lasts a long time. I was a little stunned when I pulled out the package and saw all the wands come together, but it actually came together quickly and my 5 year old son helped put the wands together. He was also able to get them into the tent as I showed him where they were going. The tent comes with 3 different pole sizes (long, medium and short) and assembly instructions. Once you set up the tent, it's easy to remember where to go. The long poles run the long length of the tent (front to back), the middle poles run the front (left to right), and the short poles form the slope of the roof. I have a large 5 year old and there was plenty of room for him and another child to play in this tent. More than two children really don't fit in comfortably. My son and I loved the mailbox and were impressed that both the door and shutters can close. All in all such a cute toy for imaginative play and I love the convenience of being able to take it home to friends or grandparents. It's lightweight, colorful, fun and extremely portable.
