I'm no expert but I know how to use a sewing machine. I gave my old brother's car to my friend which in hindsight was a bad idea as fixing masks became a thing. Not wanting to spend a bunch of dollars on a full-size sewing machine, I saw it on sale at Walmart for $13. Since all I had to do was change the elastic in the mask, I figured what the heck, I didn't need anything special, just a quick stitch. It's not fast at all! Damn this is the most annoying machine I've ever worked with and I've worked with surgeons! The warp must have a tail nearly a mile long or it will rip your car off when you raise your arm. Two layers of cotton is the max this machine will run through next, and it keeps getting stuck and sewing in the same spot over and over again. Expect the bottom of the seam to look like a complete mess and there is no other way out. for reverse stitch so your stitch can be pulled out very easily. The machine is a nightmare for the filament, as is the tension. even in free space, the settings are so damn tight that your thread snaps. It costs neither money nor headaches. Which should have taken me 30 seconds on my full size machine. Took me almost 3 hours and it still looks like garbage.
