I use this strap to hang my heavy punching bag from an I-beam in the basement and it does the job perfectly. However, one thing I do is put a towel between it and the I-beam so the axle belt doesn't sit directly on the I-beam. I do this because I'm concerned that the micro-motion of the bag rocking back and forth right on the metal I-beam will eventually cut the strap at the axle and cause the heavy bag to fall to the floor. This hasn't happened to me yet, but I'm doing it as a precaution and I would recommend others to do the same when using it for the purposes I've just described. Otherwise, this axle belt does its job well. He is extremely strong and holds things like a champion.
