Works well. feels like it's not a reliable video device at all

I've used it for softball streaming and swimming competitions. Without a doubt, live streaming is better than GoPro software. Pros: Improved live streaming Picture-in-Picture helps display scoreboard Once live streaming seems fairly stable Cons: Hotspot connectivity can be iffy - especially with Iphone, works better with Android pickup. The ethernet connection seems to be working fine, but it can also be a bit buggy. The connection to streaming channels on Youtube and Facebook is really unpredictable - start live streaming 15-30 minutes before the event because the registration time is complete nonsense. Sometimes you can't sign up to streaming platforms at all. This seems to apply to Youtube more than FacebookCamera - if the camera goes offline for some reason it will become a device on its knees and it will likely require more than one reboot. HDMI connectors - they seem to wobble a bit, I've used this unit. about a dozen times and have already had to replace HDMI cables several times. Are the ports picky about which HDMI cable they communicate with? USB port not working. Audio input - not working. Battery life is extremely unpredictable. In other cases, the battery seems to be almost empty in 40 minutes? Some USB-C cables won't charge your device. While I like the device overall, it was a positive experience overall. However this is the first device that I have taken out replacement insurance for as I anticipate needing to use it in the near future and the device has now been in use for around 3 months. If you're a regular streamer with an average knowledge of electronics and streaming gear, I'd say this is a pass. If you're really into live streaming, be patient and have a budget that can cover some of the extras like cables, power supplies, etc., then fine.

Pros
  • good as it is
Cons
  • new competitors have arrived
