Keeps me warm. This is one of my essential base layers. I really like how you can roll it up as a hood and over your mouth and nose and roll it back down once you're inside. I would probably be a lot colder and the wind would get through my jacket (I feel like cold wind has a way of finding the smallest opening in your outerwear) without this. I haven't worked or exercised outside in the cold so I don't know how it wicks moisture but it's synthetic based material so I assume it would also be good for applications when you may sweat.
