Review on ATIVAFIT Exercise Bike: Foldable Fitness Indoor Cycling With Resistance Bands - Home Workout! by Matt Pavelko

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A superb and affordable machine.

Poor old Ativafit did its best to support the crippled USPS, which promptly sent my unit to we don't know where, so after a few weeks, ebay and Ativafit happily sent another via UPS. It of course arrived in a few days - - the day before the lost one appeared :-( . Happily again, they simply sent a UPS guy to pick up the late one to be sent back.SO: I used to fix cars for a living, and while I have sufficient tools to assemble an aircraft carrier (okay, maybe not that), I'm both very partial to my own tools and REALLY sensitive to how well things are designed for assembly and repair (try working on an old Renault or Fiat sometime). I was absolutely ecstatic about the fit and finish of the bike. I would have expected, given the design, twice the price. DO FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. DO NOT GUESS THE ORDER OF ASSEMBLY. It just fell together like a pbj sandwich. While I used my own tools, I did take a close look at the supplied tools; they are certainly adequate for the task.I'm even more impressed with how sturdy the bike is. I've been on exercise gym equipment that cost 3-6 times as much that was not any better. I would not suggest mounting it like you would a horse by using one of the pedals as a stirrup, though; pretty sure it would try to buck you off.It does not bend, flop, wiggle or groan in use. You CAN get, say, the bars under the seat to move a bit but there's no reason to add the extra bracing to stop that; they're not going anywhere as they're solidly attached, again with nicely and simply designed mounting.Happily as noted it is virtually silent in use. No scraping brake pads or whirring fans. Just blessed silence so you can listen to your hifi or tv quietly. The seat is superbly comfortable. The roller wheels on the front stabilizer bar make it VERY easy to move the bike around. The ONE thing I would wish for is a longer tube for seat extension. It's perfect for me (5'8") and wife (5'6") for almost (not quite) full leg extension, but if you're a six feet or more my guess is you'll feel like you're peddling your kid's tricycle. Your only solution will be to find something else OR see if Ativafit makes a longer seat tube.BRAVO to the designers AND the factory folks. Would that everything work this well.
