I use this product to protect my blouses from hairspray. Otherwise the top of my shoulder gets very wet or sticky and that prevents it. I wanted something that wasn't plastic or irritating to the skin. It has a very soft and silky feel, probably polyester, plenty of neck room to cope with blouses with more noticeable collars, and plenty of buttons when needed, but I found it stayed in place without having to use them. It offers me perfect protection against heavily sprayed hair products. Soft around the neck, big enough and very cute. The background color is more of a bluish gray than the picture shows and the cartoon design is adorable.
