You buy this bulb because it's a lot cheaper than the 'real' one. If it lasts half as long as the more expensive one, it's a good deal. I think I can update this review when he dies. But out of the box it's great! Update September 24, 2021: It just turns off while in use. No dimming, it just turns off. I've waited for this to happen about 20 times to be sure, but it's true. YMMV but mine is a dead end.
