I think it's just that the red color isn't sure, but it can be gleaned from the reviews. Not only does it fade, my hoses turned yellow as a result, but I think it happens with any other dye as well. You won't notice until you remove the liquid as the residue will be much lighter in color or in this case as the color fades over time. The liquid is fine, probably because my system was running all the time, but I've heard from others that it can destroy your entire system and leave big floating residue. I have bought various colors which I will try if my current new red color which I got from PrimoChill also fades.
