I bought this product because the surface of my ironing board is very thin. Even with an old folded bed sheet underneath for padding, I could still see and feel the surface pattern of the metal ironing board underneath. I wanted to add another cover, a softer one, and it worked great! It is elastic on all sides and moderately padded. But now I have a smooth surface that can be ironed. Overall it goes well with my ironing board. My board is 12" x 30" and is a bit longer, but the clamps handle that easily and it fits well and is snug. Haven't used mesh yet but it's a nice addition. I would definitely buy this again.
