Review on Rustic Town Vintage Crossbody Messenger by Kevin Mills

UPDATE: After a year of owning this bag, it is softer and larger than when I started. With age it develops a very nice patina. I applied a coat of Dr Martens Wonder Balm when I first got it and let it sit for a few days. It is a natural beeswax product that helps maintain and soften the skin. Very happy with this purchase. I just received my order and it far exceeds my expectations. The bag is very well made and beautiful. This is a type of naturally tanned leather that looks like it will soften nicely and will develop a nice patina with use and aging. The color is rich and very similar to the photo (see mine attached). I will put a protective layer of oil on it before I start using it as full grain leather is porous and all of the natural grain is visible. It's sophisticated enough to be used for business or more casual; The design is classic, simple and elegant. I like that the strap is sturdy and attaches to the bag with brass rivets and reinforced stitching. As a side note, I've read other reviews here that mentioned weird smells, flimsy straps, weak magnets, and a bunch of other issues that got me thinking. However, none of these warnings have come true. When shopping at Revain I found versions of this bag sold by multiple sellers but this one from Rustic Town had more photos with detail and was free to return; so no risk. It seemed like it came from and stands behind a company that has made every effort to be transparent about the product. I'm assuming they actually do the quality control at their supplier's factory. I would definitely buy from them again. I think this bag is amazing value and is worth double or more. I rarely write reviews but this product blew me away.
