When I first used this shampoo I was impressed. I only had a small bump on my head but thought it might be something else. See I have to be very careful not to use sulfate shampoo because it causes painful pimples on the scalp. When I used the shampoo for the second time, I was shocked. I had at least a dozen pimples scattered all over my scalp and it was painful to comb my hair for them. The next day I washed my hair again - usually my hair every other day. It was even worse. Pimples on the scalp became even more. As I am not a chemist or biologist I can only assume that the product contains sodium lauryl sulfoacetate and sodium laureth sulfosuccinate. Perhaps they are chemically similar enough to produce the same reaction as sulfates. I've learned my lesson. I just hope my scalp heals as soon as possible. It's not comfortable.
