Review on EatSmart Products Clear Digital Bathroom Scale with Extra πŸ“ Large Lighted Display and Free Body Tape Measure, One Size by Heidi Garcia

easy to use budget model which unfortunately is quite unreliable

I have had this scale for almost a year now and am disappointed. The good points first: It's inexpensive and easy to set up, and it allows the cat to weigh itself without human help. It's infinitely interesting, and now I get information almost daily on whether a cat weighs 11.2, 11.4, or just 11.0 (immediate IV of tuna required). On the other hand, I found these scales rather unreliable for my own weighing. It must be calibrated at least three times a week. The floor in my bathroom is a bit uneven and that might be part of the problem, but whoever buys a cheap bathroom scale really wants it to be so delicate that it can't be used in a typical home with minor imperfections in the building? Also, the scale bounces - sometimes reading what I know is around 10 pounds. less than I actually weigh, and sometimes he gives what seems like 1-2 pounds more. I can weigh myself three times in ten minutes and get three different weights ranging from 10 to 12 pounds. While the scale looks good, I find it far less reliable than the cheap, cracked, 15-year-old bathroom scale I sadly threw away last summer.

Pros
  • Spacious platform: 12.25" x 11.75", 8mm thick glass platform hardened for safety
Cons
  • Very expensive
