Because of its gargantuan size and tremendous output, I was hoping it would be brighter than the sun, but it's no brighter than the smaller fluorescent I had before. Don't get me wrong, it's bright enough and does its job well in the kitchen. The remote control is great, as is the color temperature adjustment and dimming control. I can't seem to get the phone app to work - yet. I like that it's flat and not embellished at all so it doesn't really stand out when it's on or off, which is what I wanted. I'm glad it came in white. As I suspected I would have to paint it white to match my ceiling (silver shown in the pictures). It would be easier for 2 people to install/connect as the cables are not very long (but they can easily be swapped out if needed).
