Great ears to use predominantly in the Apple ecosystem. For non-Apple sources, it's worth considering other models as a lot of the features won't be available. Maxes are more likely not just ears, but an independent gadget. Very comfortable, but not a replacement for audiophile headphones. Their niche is walk-through listening, listening on the go, and numerous audio-video conferences. Regarding the sound quality on the road, in my opinion (which I don’t want to impose), high-quality noise reduction with a neat, honest sound is preferable to the ultimate audiophile quality without noise reduction. In my case, cutting off the noise with my head is distracting and tiring. Two weeks after the purchase of Max, he sold the big and small wireless Sonys, but left the wired Shure 1540 for the "correct" music on the wire at home.
