This was the perfect product for my needs. I tore part of our wooden strip. Since the repair was too expensive, I ordered this tape. It was perfect. But I suggest you do as I do and get help. It has no backing so I slowly unrolled the tape while my wife laid it along the ledge. The tape was wider than the molding so I carefully trimmed the edges. It came out very well. And so far it's holding up well. Even though the tears were small, it would be unsightly to just tape over them, so I used the whole roll, 15 feet. Just take your time and it should work fine. I'm not a professional, just a homeowner. So if I can do it, anyone can. This is an extremely strong adhesive so do not reattach until you are sure.
