I have recently started eating healthily and part of a healthy lifestyle involves portion control in all aspects of food intake. After looking at many different food scales, I settled on the Jennings CJ4000 x 0.5g digital scale. This scale was also recommended by The WireCutter, a website where I actually bought a few electronics based on their recommendations , and never been disappointed there. I'm glad I chose this scale. I forgot to mention that this is actually my second purchase of this scale. I accidentally left the scale on the toaster and cooked something in the toaster and it melted the bottom of the scale lol. Yes, I know I'm very distracted. But anyway, back to the weights. Pros: Very accurate Easy to use Allows you to use batteries or plug in Has a nice backlight if you're not in a well-lit area Has lots of options to convert products to ounces, pounds, grams, etc. : Why didn't I find this scale sooner! GENERAL: This is a great scale because if like me you are looking for one to help with weight loss or portion control this is a great tool and I feel like a chef pro lol. You will not be disappointed with this purchase. Trust me I took a cheaper scale and returned it same day. This scale has helped me develop responsibility for everything I cook because the numbers don't lie. I am a true reviewer who spent my hard earned money buying this scale.
