While trying to find cheaper Joy-Con options for my 5 year old, I came across these - more for better grip, good battery life and a bunch of other options that are in the shadow. If only the product were as good as the advertising copy! The problems started almost as soon as they arrived when the home button was fresh. stopped working. No warnings, no short circuits, it just didn't do anything. A few days later it started working again, but only if you held the button down when it was properly pressed. An annoyance, but not a deal killer. About a week later, the left Joy-Con stopped working. Assuming it just needs to be charged (although the right one was charging while the Switch was docked), I plugged it into a USB charger only to see the lights go out at all. The one on the right immediately lit up, indicating it was being charged; left, no. In fact, the left Joy-Con broke down completely within 2 weeks of purchase and was only playable for a maximum of 14 hours. In short, they were good when they worked, but gradually died when used. It's like they were specifically designed for show and not use - and I think if they lasted they probably would be good. Overall I would not recommend these. Go with something that will last longer than two weeks.
