I really liked this device. I use it on my Yamaha surround receiver for wireless playback of our Apple devices. The sound quality is excellent. If there is a Bluetooth lag, I don't notice it. If your stereo has an available SPDIF digital optical or coaxial (RCA phono plug) input, get a Bluetooth receiver that will output to it. These are digital formats and are better than analog RCA outputs like here. In my case, the outputs were not available. At the same time, the sound is crisp and clear, and I don't hear any hissing background noise where the noise level should be minimal. A few setup tips. The device is always shown as discoverable. I live in an apartment and my neighbors haven't moved into it yet. For most people, though, that means it's easy to connect. Turn up the stereo volume to a decent level. If you have the volume set too low, trying to increase the volume on your wireless device can increase the noise level and you may hear unwanted noise. Once the stereo is on, you can control the volume from your wireless device. In my case Apple IOS. Coverage was good but I live in a small two bedroom apartment. This is a good buy. As I mentioned earlier, if you have an available optical or SPDIF input, buy a device with these outputs. My optical channel is used by the TV to carry digital surround sound signals. The communication function on this device only works with Android, so it doesn't work with Apple devices for me.
