Edit: Also bought a similar looking neck fan that was a few bucks cheaper - better build quality, longer battery life, and unobtrusive battery light. It's worth the extra dollars! I was skeptical that a neck fan would make a difference in how well I could endure the hot and humid North Carolina summers, but luckily this little fan is a treat! Provides comfort when working outdoors while minimal fan noise creates a relaxing white noise effect. A word of warning: make sure long hair is tied back and cannot get caught in the fan blades. The plastic leaves are sturdy - I trimmed them down a bit when I forgot I had a fan around my neck and put my head too close to the Japanese maple.
