The brush comes off in a snug fit.
I was cleaning my freezer drain with this product and it was a bit tight at some bends when I pulled to pull the brush out the brush broke off and stayed in the drain line put. The brush is only held by friction. This is normal when you squeeze the brush, but when you pull it back the brush will disengage and stay in the product you were trying to clean. It was a mess to get a separate brush.
