As other reviews have said, setting up the wireless charger is a bit of a hassle. The radio is basically the same size as the iPhone Pro model and if you place it directly on it it will charge. What I don't understand is why anyone cares. Your phone is a 1000% better alarm clock than any alarm clock. If you're not like my kid and don't have a phone yet or you've made the bedroom a tech-free zone, I don't know why you should buy an alarm clock to charge your device, what makes the alarm clock so much better. As a standalone alarm clock, it has decent features. You can set an alarm for weekends and weekdays, you can be woken up to radio, beep or both. The tuner works well and has presets accessed in a way that is of little use compared to simply tuning into a station. It has enough buttons to not make the setup entirely incomprehensible and cumbersome. The sound is not very good. It's not terrible. If you're familiar with the ubiquitous 2-inch black half-dome speakers in any budget Bluetooth speaker, he's got one of those with no passive radiator to try and joke around to give him more bass. And maybe 5 watts of power. The display is blue, making it quite bright in the brightest light, but has dimming to suit most people. If you are sensitive to light in your bed, this may not be for you. A night light won't provide much useful illumination given its implementation, but it may be bright enough to bother you. it can be turned off. It's also very light, so it's best not to store it where it might collide. For example, if you put this on your bedside table where it can catch on your elbow when you toss and turn at night, it could end up on the floor.
