Review on Nutrient-Rich Adult Iguana Food: Rep-Cal SRP00805, 2.5-Pound Pack by Brian Olson

I've been feeding this to my iguana since I rescued him about 2 years ago. She eats nothing but these pumpkins and coyote squash, zucchini, mango and yellow squash. Well, she also likes scrambled eggs, but that's because she stole it. She is a great escape artist and loves my other pets. She is my second iguana and my first was over 15 years ago. It's in the Zoo Med iguanarium and above it is the Zoo Med Deluxe hood which I modified and rewired because the lamp placement was wrong for pretty much everything useful. She's currently 5ft long and a stocky baby at around 25lbs if I'm guessing correctly (maybe I'm a bit taller but not sure if she's strong). She gets mad at me if I don't hold her huge bowl of pellets all the way up. I top it up every few days because I give her fresh veggies with added calcium. I am currently preparing to build a giant cage for her but it will be a few weeks or more before I can get started. So far these pellets have only fed them very well and made them quite large in the middle of their body. She is very, very happy and hangs upside down to eat it. She chooses certain colors first and then eats the rest if I don't fill her up before she gets hungry again. She is great. At $21 for a 2.5 pound can, it's a lot cheaper than in stores. I recommend at least the adult version of this for your iguana(s). I haven't had any luck with the Bearded Dragon version of these bullets. But the bearded ones have to be dammed up, but they can, but don't have to. My iguana always eats them dry because they are so much easier to clean :P If you have any questions let me know. Joe forgot to add that I use one of those 2.5lb pitchers every 2 months, maybe a little sooner. So spend maybe $130 a year on them and maybe $70 a year on veggies for them. Light and heat emitters are what you get each year ($32 24"10.0" UVB phosphor (used in Deluxe Hood) per year, 100w incandescent lamp (used in Deluxe Hood) $8 usually die every 2 -3 months so about $40 a year and radiant heaters are about $28 and don't die often (I have 2 of these in a deluxe hood)) So my iguana care (minus the electric bill) is about $300 a year. They eat bugs, which are expensive in and of themselves.
