I really didn't like the mount that came with the Edge 500. It felt very weak for such an expensive bike computer. I was even less pleased considering the O-ring attached mount, which can erode and crack under UV light. I know a person who lost their Edge 500 because the mounting tab broke and their device crashed into the rocks and disappeared. This mount is the opposite of that. It installs easily with the included 2.5mm allen key. I tightened with the indicated 0.8 N/m. It's made of high-quality plastic and features a clever bracket design that really keeps the Edge 500 secure and keeps your computer at the perfect viewing angle while you drive. It also looks great on a bike. I think the quality gets 5 stars, but $40 for the plastic mount that should come with the bike computer doesn't make it a 5 starter at all.
