Nucleum is a good hub and it works, I've tried everything except SD cards. Am I happy with that? Not really. The core as such is not to blame. What I really wanted was a way to power my device at the same time when I'm using the headset, the multi-hour business meeting use case. The hub is great for this while I use my mobile device's charger to keep it powered. Plugging only into my computer's USB-A port or USB-A into a power strip drains my battery faster than using the headset on battery alone. Of course, the hub draws additional power for the other functions it supports, and my device doesn't charge from the computer's ports. So that makes sense, but since I really need power and a headset and no other features, it doesn't quite satisfy me. I was hoping for a solution where USB-A can be used and the device's battery slowly drains or stays the same, which is what happens when I just power the device directly from USB-A. If you consider doing this for the same use case - because there doesn't seem to be a solution - it might work. It's almost more trouble than it's worth, but there have been a few instances where this hub saved the day. As long as I'm using the charger, I can hold a few meetings with the battery charged and it's ready to go. If I had to rate this hub as a solution to this, I would downgrade a star or two. What I need is a smaller hub that doesn't draw significant power itself and has two USB-C ports. Bluetooth headsets work great as a solution to begin with. But my experience with several Bluetooth headsets is that if you use them continuously for meetings for several hours a week, the quality becomes unusable after about a year. So when I started to prefer wired headset solutions.
